The Syndicat Hippique Boulonnais
The Syndicat Hippique Boulonnais was created in 1886 for the management of the race and its promotion. In 2003, it was recognized by the Ministry for Agriculture and Fisheries as the official association of Boulonnais horses. So, it has to :
- Bring together all the breeders and represent them
- Determin the genetic improvement policy and breed selection
- Select horses
- Elaborate and drive, in connection with the IFCE and the Center of genetic resources of the North - Pas-de-Calais, a program of breeding
- Represent the stud book commission to the genealogical book commission of the French draft horses
- Organise breed competitions
- Promote the breed
You can see our Boulonnais horses every years in
- Salon International de l'Agriculture (Paris - Next show : February 25th to march 4th, 2012)
- Terres en Fête (Arras - Next show : june 1st, 2nd & 3rd, 2012)
- Fontainebleau (Next show : the last weekend in August)
- Sommet de l'élevage à Cournon (at the beginning of October)
- EquitaLyon (at the end of November)
Our breed Competitions :
- Mares' competition in Nord Pas de Calais all june month
- National Mares' competition in Samer (62830) the 3rd weekend in july
- National stallions' competition in Samer (62830) the last weekend in september
- Horse driving competition in july, august and october
